Our instructors provide an innovative and comprehensive approach to teaching while using today’s technology and teaching methods. All while making music fun to learn.  All of our instructors are professional musicians and can take the stage with the best of them.  We take care to only hire instructors that are skillful players and educated in music knowledge.

Charles Page – Drums

Charles J. Page was born in Washington, DC. He began playing the drums at the age of four. At the age of ten, he became the drummer at his home church. His talent was recognized in many venues within the metropolitan area, which allowed him the opportunity to perfect his musical gift.

In 1988, he was awarded a scholarship to the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC under the direction of Mark Rendon. The following year, he was awarded a full music scholarship to Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL.

Charles is a versatile musician that plays a variety of music including Gospel, Jazz, Country, Swing, Rock, Funk, R&B, Bluegrass, and Latin. In 2007, he established the jazz band, Groove Masters. Groove Masters is well known throughout the Carolina’s and abroad. In 2008, Groove Masters released their first album, “Elements of Groove”.  In 2011, Groove Masters Band released another album “Praise Worthy” that continues to get air play on local radio stations.


Mars Licciardi – Guitar and Voice

Mars Licciardi is a musician and educator from the greater Chicago area. Since the age of 18, he’s toured regionally and performed at many major music venues throughout Chicago and the Midwest.  

Mars’ work ethic and vibrant energy on stage, in the studio, and in the classroom are his trademarks.  A dedicated, respected and skilled educator, he has taught tens of thousands of private and group lessons to aspiring and experienced players of all ages, some of who have studied with Mars for over a decade.

Having grown up playing music and recording with 2 multi-platinum producers, Mars constantly seeks ways to give back to the community through music.  Mars specializes in Rock, Blues, Folk, Progressive, RnB, Alternative, Indie, Country and Acoustic styles but his vast knowledge of current music trends has resulted in a continually expanding-repertoire.

Mars is excited to bring his experiences to NC and he is looking forward to sharing his love of music and mentorship to people of all ages here at The House That Rocks.
